Motor Driver 2A Dual L298 H-Bridge

After toiling away for hours trying to get an L298 H-Bridge to work on a a circuit board that was built by a CMU class that no longer exists, we decided that it’s not worth our time and got this awesome motor driver. It uses the same L298 chip essentially, but the packaging is great and it comes with all the components we need to hook it up easily. We connected it to one of our Roomba motors today and were able to get it to smoothly transition between 100% forwards and 100% backwards. Next step: get it working on both motors.

SkaterBot v1 is Built

The Mechanical Team has completed building the first iteration of SkaterBot. Currently the robot has two legs without joints and two Roomba wheels. This will serve as a platform where we can practice balancing the robot. The next iteration will include joints.
